UCF in the Pros - September Update

  1. Ben Lively earned a well-deserved promotion to the Class A Dayton Dragons of the Midwest League in August after putting up a 0.73 ERA with 49 Ks in 37 innings for the Billings Mustangs of the Rookie Pioneer League. Lively's performance in Billings earned him PBL All-Star honors. In his lone start for Dayton, Lively's line was 4 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K.
  2. Ronnie Richardson was also on the move on as he was promoted to the Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore Storm of the California League. Richardson picked up five hits (two triples) while scoring five runs, and drawing five walks after getting his promotion. He also got some sweet new custom bats.

  4. Darnell Sweeney had a big close to his regular season at with a .297 BA, 6 triples, 2 HR, 16 RBI, 9 SB, and a .901 OPS in August and September to lead his team to the South Division Semifinals. Sweeney led the league with 16 triples and finished third with 49 stolen bases.
  5. Chase Bradford was dominant in August and September for the Binghamton Mets, putting up an 0.71 ERA in 16.2 IP to go along with 14 K in August and September. In addition to earning a trip to the Eastern League Playoffs, Bradford will pitch in the Arizona Fall League for the Mets.
