Demo Day 2017

Financial Health Fellowship 2017 showed how innovation in finance can respond to people’s real wants and needs.

  1. Over the past six months, we’ve been incubating the ideas and people who could change the future of finance – for good. Last night marked the end of Financial Health Fellowship 2017, but it's just the start of our Fellows’ journeys...

  2. Demo Day is a special opportunity for Fellows to share the progress they’ve made over the course of the Fellowship programme and ask for the support they need to take their businesses to the next level.
  3. It’s also a chance to celebrate the flourishing community of people seeking to support innovation for financial health
  4. The Museum of London Docklands welcoms Fellows and guests in a truly inspirational setting - just across the road from Canary Wharf!

  5. After a warm welcome from the Finance Innovation Lab's Executive Director Anna Laycock, guest speakers Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles, Chair of the Financial Inclusion Commission, Chris Pond of Tech City UK and Fellowship alumna Freda Owusu of CredScope addressed Demo Day guests.

  6. Next up were our Fellows' pitches!
  7. From affordable financing for parents, to a community benefit bank for London, guests were excited to hear about Fellows' projects, which are focussed on financial health and are developed from the bottom up, working with people’s real wants and needs.
