  1. DAY 1 (Wednesday, November 3, 2015)

  2. Building Authentic Connections with Visitors through Design Thinking with
Dana Mitroff Silvers (Founder + Director, Designing Insights)
Susan Edwards (Associate Director, Digital Content, Hammer Museum)
  3. This workshop will combine tools and methods from the design thinking process with theories and strategies from game design. Design thinking is a human-centered process for problem solving and innovation. The process emphasizes learning by doing and in this workshop, participants are introduced to design thinking through a hands-on, highly interactive experience. Participants will play games, create prototypes, and test them, all while building empathy for the needs of users and breaking out of “Museum Think.”
  4. After this wonderful workshop setting the tone, I headed off to the Walker to explore.
