Common Sense Education at CUE 2016

March 17-19, 2016 in Palm Springs, CA. Here's some info for my Common Sense team to learn from as we continue to share with educators. View to see why @suethotz is so exhausted.

  1. Ramp up to CUE with sticker enticements and check ins with CA educators.
  2. In preparation for our session, I sent out tweets 2 days, 24 hours and 1 hour in advance to get folks there.
  3. Gave a shout out to any of the teachers I saw but hadn't met in real life.
  4. This is a teacher that ended up joining us to volunteer at our booth. Indeed, all of the volunteer educators we had working our booth were so fantastic! Some planned and some un-planned drop ins lending a hand.
  5. Promoted the booth giveaway. Nearpod didn't have a booth at CUE16 and I think I might have turned on every educator I encountered to their platform.
  6. During the presentation, I had scheduled roll-outs of session slides deploy. Thanks, Jeff K, for the wonderful idea! It worked so well!
  7. Even when I mis-spelled, it was still popular.
  8. This was my most re-tweeted slide of the conference.
  9. Shared Jen's slides, too!
