A New Paradigm for Water Treatment
Roughly one billion people receive water that fails international safety standards. At the recent University of North Carolina Water and Health Conference, Stanford Water, Health & Development program researchers hosted a side event on an alternative paradigm for water treatment in low-income areas – point-of-collection disinfection. Amy Pickering and Jenna Davis joined other panelists in discussing their experiences with the approach and and the conditions under which it is most likely to be effective and sustainable.
