  1. 9 a.m. (all times -ish) Our first time using an event hashtag, which is sure, like a green slope social media maneuver.
  2. 2 p.m. David and Emily are reading prep stuff from @EzraKlein and the @BrennanCenterOther stuff is happening
  3. 6 p.m. People arrive. A projector is on-stage at the venue, the Sixth and I Historic Synagogue. It's scrolling through a nascent, under-subscribed event hashtag -- #DCGabfest
  4. 5:55 p.m. (really -ish) Meanwhile, the pre-event cocktail is wrapping up. Someone calls the popularity contest for @jdickerson. Re-count is ongoing.
  5. 6:45 p.m. Almost ready... 
  6. Intern Jeff plays the vuvuzela in the green room
  7. People get into the projector screen spirit!
  8. 7 p.m. And then...
  9. Plus, a live music intro from Eric! In December, Eric sent us an email try-out. David was like, "yeah, awesome!" And John said, "Yeah -- open d!"
