LEYMN Conference 2016: 'Raising the Baton'

On Wednesday 2 March 2016 at the magnificent Royal Albert Hall, the London Early Years Music Network and a brilliant turn out of music practitioners, speakers and performers came together to return to the heart of our work: music.

  1. There was a real buzz the day before the event...fully prepared and excited for the conference!
  2. The beginning of the day didn't disappoint....Such an inspiring venue
  3. Tangible excitement when setting up for the conference! The amazing Royal Albert Hall staff helped make the set-up seamless...and started the day off with a lovely warm welcome for delegates:
  4. And then LEYMN and Sound Connections' very own Nicky Dewar was up next...
  5. Nicky also shared what a brilliant and jam-packed day ahead we were all to expect...
  6. And also what we can look forward to after the conference...
  7. The day's presentations started off with Oily Cart director and BBC Radio 3 Late Junction presenter Max Reinhardt, who shared how theatre for babies can engage and inspire all senses...and the importance of being open to new ideas and themes of inspiration...
  8. There are endless possibilities for early years music, all you need is to be open to ideas and think of a theme!
