For more than 75 years, the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has advocated for the interests of trucking companies and their drivers. The TCA serves its members with several flagship programs, including the Benchmarking Program. This initiative allows carriers with a common specialty to meet in groups of 10 to 15 and compare performance. Meetings take place two to three times each year and typically last for a day and a half, during which time members discuss industry challenges and share ideas related to the meeting's particular theme.

Results of the meeting are posted to a secure area of the TCA website, where members can review the ideas that their colleagues generated. This allows a carrier to measure the competitiveness of its fleet's performance while learning what performance indicators stand out as most important within a particular niche. Members may purchase one-time access to reports or full access to all parts of the program, including participation rights for seminars and surveys.
