2nd Annual #DisruptTheNarrative: Youth Leadership Summit Brought Activists Together to Create, Organize, and Lead


  1. On August 5th, The Representation Project welcomed 250 youth leaders to challenge gender stereotypes and social injustices during our second annual #DisruptTheNarrative: Youth Leadership Summit. Together, with featured speakers like Anita Sarkeesian of Feminist Frequency, political activist Kimberly Ellis, Star Wars Creative Executive Pablo Hidalgo, and more, we empowered attendees to challenge the limiting status quo:

  6. The day consisted of workshops and presentations by community leaders, advocacy organizations, and artists. The first session, Creating, Media Literacy and Understanding our Stories, was led by MAKERS, Imagine Bus Project, and Youth Speaks:
