  3. Our May calendar is packed with exciting opportunities for learning and fun, from the Community Night to Track and Field to many grade specific events. Parents with students in grade 3 or 6, please take note of the EQAO dates and avoid these times for appointments or other issues that might take your child out of school.
  4. We also anticipate the installation of our awesome new playground this month. The children can't wait to try out the climbing bars and slides.
  5. We will enjoy a refurbishing of our tarmac play area this month due to a grant through Canada 150. All of the painted games (hopscotch, four square, basketball keys...) will be re-painted and two new games will be added! It's a great month for recess at RSS!
  6. The Kindergarten Team are continuing to work toward their natural play space this month. Part of our May 19 PA Day will include hands-dirty building time. Contact our kindergarten teachers for details.
  7. As a fundraiser for the two playgrounds, we look forward to a night of great food and great music on May 12. "The Kids Wanna Play, So Let's dance the Night Away!" Please contact the office for tickets, or use cash online!
  8. As always, we are so grateful to our students, parent community and gifted teachers and support staff for their ongoing dedication to the learning and fun at Richmond Street. You are what makes this school great.
