Northern Collaboration Conference, University of York, 8 September 2017 #ncollab17

Digital Transformation: responding to the challenge in academic libraries

  1. The fifth Northern Collaboration Conference took place at the Ron Cooke Hub, Heslington East Campus, University of York on Friday 8th September 2017 with the theme Digital Transformation: responding to the challenge in academic libraries.
  2. In the run up to the conference excitement began to build, our presenter bios and abstracts were made available (see: ) and attendees began to choose the sessions that interested them most.
  3. The conference received generous offers of sponsorship from various companies, with ProQuest and ExLibris returning as our title sponsors for the second year running. Thank you, we appreciate your continued support.
  4. Thank you to all our sponsors, we've had some brand new sponsors this year and some have been with us since our first NC conference back in 2013. We appreciate each sponsor's support in enabling us to make #ncollab17 happen. Thank you Askews and Holts, British Library, Capita, Content Online, Dawson Books, Ebsco, OCLC, Taylor & Francis Group and Veruscript. Find out more about our sponsors here:
  5. Behind the scenes the NC Conference planning team met periodically to ensure the day ran smoothly.
  6. In the spirit of collaboration NAG @UKLibrariesNAG kindly moved #NAG17 to November so you could attend both conferences.
  7. A networking evening was arranged for the night before, this included an informative Ghost Walk through the historic streets of York followed by an informal meal.
  8. It was an early and wet start for many of our dedicated delegates, presenters and sponsors journeying across the north.
