Portraits of a Protest 6 [1/3]
Joanna Kimball, 43, traveled with her two disabled daughters Meriwether, 20, and Honour, 18, from New Hampshire to join the Women's March on Washington. "It was their first time to vote. We were incredibly excited to elect a female," Joanna Kimball said. "It was that moment and spark of empowerment that I saw recreated when they went to vote for the first time." When Hillary Clinton didn't win, the Kimballs knew they wanted to protest. "We felt like we had to do something for minorities and the disenfranchised."
