NIWeek 2015 Day 3

Engineers with Ideas

  1. How will NI resources be used by a new generation of engineers? Day 3 of NIWeek honed in on this question, and showed how such technological advancements can better the lives of millions, including those with physical disabilities.
  2. Presenters included NI's Dave Wilson, Mickey McManus, Chairman & Principal of MAYA Design, and engineering thought leaders representing academia, SME start-ups and big business. Discussions involved how to create a future climate of global engineering innovation where engineers with ideas will realize the Internet of Things.
  3. Hyundai’s Sang In Park and students from the ETH in Switzerland took the stage at the keynote to display their exoskeleton and stair-climbing wheelchair, respectively. Both are bold innovations that take on common daily struggles faced by individuals with physical disabilities.
  4. When the events of the day had ended, attendees prepared to travel back home – having taken away some powerful insight into the next era of technology and IoT.
  5. Things at NIWeek 2015 have officially come to a close, but the ideas that were exchanged will continue and prosper for years to come. Thank you to everyone who participated in the event or followed along online. Have questions about IoT or 5G technologies? Follow us at @NIGlobal!
