NCLA Leadership Institute

Sept. 15-18, 2016 in Black Mountain, N.C.


  1. The Institute is an intensive four-day residential event that took place at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain, N.C.. Participants will work on their projects during the course of the 2016-17 year with graduation at next year's NCLA biennial conference in Winston-Salem.
  2. It was sponsored by the North Carolina Library Association and the State Library of North Carolina and organized by NCLA's Vice President / President Elect Mike Crumpton and his planning team, co-chaired by Debbie Shreve.

  3. NCLA's Leadership Institute is designed to create opportunities for learning and skill building in leadership and mentoring. The Institute cultivates an improved understanding of self and others, while inspiring participants to serve in leadership roles within the profession at local, state and national levels.
