- We mourn the loss of Muhammad Abyad, a Syrian surgeon who was working for us in the devastated country. He was killed in northern Syria, but the details behind the attack are still unknown. His body was found on 3rd September in Aleppo province. He was just 28-years-old.
- Refugees in Afghanistan
- In April of this year, we started preventive mobile clinics in 10 locations on Kabul’s periphery in order to reach out to isolated communities. MSF operational coordinator Renzo Fricke discusses the situation on the ground in Afghanistan, where the conflict continues. "Afghanistan is a country still very much at war," he says.

Violent sectarian clashes between two of Lebanon’s most deprived neighborhoods are cutting people off from healthcare. We are providing medical services to people on both sides of the front-line. Also MSF has launched an emergency intervention in southeast Chad to respond to an alarming escalation in malaria cases.
