#ResponsiveOrg, a few personal reflections with additional resources

The first Responsive Organization (#ResponsiveOrg) unconference, took place on Saturday 10th May in London. This Storify captures some tweets that I posted during the event. Plus, it shares additional resources on the topics of: responsive minds, fun, accountability, digital literacy and books.

  1. The #ResponsiveOrg unconference saw an opening keynote from Yammer's Matthew Partovi (@matthewpartovi). He talked about the 'why' of the Responsive Organization movement: "to accelerate the shift from hierarchy to networks, to enable businesses to become more responsive through experimentation, autonomy and transparency."

  2. Session #1: New way of thinking. The conversation was initiated by Whereismylunch's Simon Hague (@SimonHague).

How can we enable a more responsive mind? An important takeaway was starting from taking individual ownership and responsibility of our own thoughts. That requires being more certain about our worth.

  3. Session #2: Responsive Fun. The conversation was proposed by Change Agent member, Jonathan Anthony (@ThisMuchWeKnow).

How can we bring more art inside the workplace, in a way that is responsible and innovative? During the discussion, @gapingvoid's cartoons were given as a great example of visualizing the world of work creatively. Plus, the graphic facilitation used during the #ResponsiveOrg event itself.
