Dancing While Black: with fists, with hands
On March 31 and April 1, 2017, audiences witnessed experiments, early constructions and visions in progress from the 2016-17 Dancing While Black Fellowship class. These seven emerging artists from New York City and New Orleans have spent the past six months building community and sharpening their aesthetic swords - through workshops with master teachers, communal dinners, and studio sharings.
