  1. On Tuesday at Texas State University's Old Main auditorium, Katherine McLane, media consultant and spokesperson for the Livestrong Foundation, addressed an audience of students and faculty about dealing with the fallout from the Lance Armstrong doping scandal.
  2. McLane took the opportunity to push the foundation's main purpose: helping people recently diagnosed with cancer.
  3. The audience heard McLane describe how the foundation survived the hits its brand took after Armstrong admitted he had taken performance enhancing drugs when cycling.
  4. McLane explained the Livestrong Foundation persevered through it all by shifting its focus from the celebrity-linked identity it had with Armstrong, to one on everyday individuals suffering from cancer.
