A week dedicated to diaspora communities and their contributions to global development. GDW aims to create awareness, enable collaboration and enhance learning amongst those working with diaspora communities in different locations around the world.

  1. The 2015 Global Diaspora Week Launch Event, “Partnering for Global Impact,” was the official kick-off of Global Diaspora Week. The high-energy event celebrated the power of partnerships in moving diaspora initiatives forward.

  6. The GDW Launch Event featured several panels, discussions and breakout sessions covering topics from diaspora entrepreneurship to science diasporas and their role in international engagement.
  7. The Partnerships Market Place was an opportunity for over 300 participants to showcase diaspora initiatives, enable collaboration, and highlight paths to success for diaspora engagement.
