Dr Sonal Minocha (Pro Vice-Chancellor, Global Engagement) at Bournemouth University welcomed students, staff and guests at the BU Be Global International Opportunities Festival.
Dr Minocha highlighted that international experience is now key to developing a range of invaluable global skills and competencies requred by the employers across the world.
Our guest speaker, Barbara Cox, passionate nutritionist and entrepreneur, talked about her experience of having travelled all over the world and her experience of global business.
The Festival continued with an exciting panel session led by Mark Ridolfo on the value of undertaking international experience as part of a university degree. The session included a live video link with BU students currently on an exchange programme at University of Central Florida, USA.
Jana Kuncova, Global Engagement Mobility Manager, concluded the first part of the Festival by discussing the range of study, work and volunteering abroad opportunities available to students at BU.
British Council, NHTV Breda Netherlands, SUBU Societies, the Global Talent Programme team and our very own BU staff and students who have studied abroad, put together an exciting exhibition of international experiences and opportunities available to students.
