Fulbright tenure at Texas A&M has given me the #experience of a #lifetime! transforming me as an individual, self critic and #Pakistani. I used to think that I was a well-rounded personality with exposure to a variety of things who loves #photography and traveling and was a complete #personality, but honestly, I was wrong! The truth was that I was unaware of the fact that the world has a lot more to offer once you open your doors to it.
I vividly remember my first day in college station, my luggage didn’t arrive and I was terribly missing my parents, felt like going back but anyway I had to stay back. Who knew that Fulbright will give me an opportunity: to strengthen my skills in econometrics at Texas A&M, to work on some exhilarating research projects in New York and Washington D.C., to go for training in photography and make friends ranging from America to Macedonia, Indonesia to Afghanistan ... and all over world!
I got warmth from the people I never thought I’d get to know in my life and it has changed me completely. I have experienced every emotion in these two years from happiness to depression and sadness to bliss and these emotions have made it a much more wholesome experience. #Traveling is a part of my transformation and it shall always be with me from now onwards... Today I'm an Aggie: more humble, less judgmental, open to new experiences and grounded within my roots
Thank you #Fulbright for giving me this opportunity!
