Europe needs a better infrastructure for food and health research

On 15 May 2015, the EuroDISH project's final results were presented in the EU pavilion of the Expo Milano. During its three-year duration, EuroDISH has mapped and defined RIs in four areas of research related to food, nutrition and health; identified as determinants, intake, status, health (DISH).

  1. Europe needs a world-class research infrastructure to help researchers better understand the relationship between food, nutrition and health.

  2. Arriving at EU EXPO 2015...

  3. Everyone seated, time to begin...

  4. Relevant initiatives, like the Joint Programming Initiative' A Healthy Diet for a Healthy Life' (JPI HDHL), FP7 project FoodManufuture, and the European Science Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI), explained how EuroDISH findings relate to societal and scientific challenges in the food and health domain and to other research infrastructures.

  5. The European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) roadmap identifies new research infrastructures of pan-European interest to meet the long term needs of the European research communities, covering all scientific areas. EuroDISH submitted the proposed DISH-RI for the new ESFRI roadmap 2016-2018.
