  1. The first seminar of NetIKX’s new 2013-2015 programme looked at the issues we all face in a technology-driven world.  We began with speaker Karen Blakeman reviewing the current situation and its challenges, followed by Graham Coult considering the research implications. Delegates were invited to share their experience and consider the nature of the problem and how best to tackle the issues involved.
  2. Val Skelton, editor of Information Today, Europe, was present at the seminar and wrote the above report on the event.
  3. (From Wikipedia: Generation Y, also known as the Millennial Generation is the demographic cohort following Generation X. There are no precise dates for when Generation Y starts and ends. Commentators use beginning birth dates from the latter 1970s, or from the early 1980s to the early 2000s.)
