  9. Anibal Sanchez may have adjusted to the American League at just the right time. After being traded from the Miami Marlins, Sanchez went 2-4 with a 5.29 ERA in his first six starts with the Tigers. However, he's settled down since then. In September, he went 2-2 with a 2.43 ERA. However, the worst performance during that span came courtesy of -- you guessed it -- the Athletics, who gave up five earned runs on six hits in 5 2/3 innings. 
  10. Brett Anderson is in the middle of a rocky, injury-plagued year. He pitched against the Tigers in his last start, and gave up three runs in 2 2/3 innings before leaving with an oblique injury. He's only made six starts this year, but allowed only one run in 14 innings in two August starts.
