- On Thursday 26th February Defra hosted an event to launch Food Stars, a new government initiative to recognise the rising stars of the UK's food and drink industry.
- 50 Food Stars, carefully selected from hundreds of award-winning businesses, joined us in London for a day of learning and networking, with master classes on topics from exporting through to social media. Leading figures in retail and food—including Justin King, former CEO of Sainsbury’s, and Dame Fiona Kendrick, CEO of Nestle UK and Ireland—launched the Food Stars scheme to help the winners grow their businesses and get more of their produce on supermarket shelves and dinner tables in the UK and across the world.
- Food Stars celebrates the innovation and entrepreneurship that is driving the success of UK food and drink, as Environment Secretary Elizabeth Truss explained in the Telegraph.
