TALES OF THE OAK
We are delighted to announce that as part of Big Lottery's Celebrate Fund, we have been awarded £9285 for our new project 13 Commonwealth Tales. The project builds on the success of last years storytelling project and ties in with cultural celebrations for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.- Pidgin Perfect delivered digital storytelling sessions with one class at Newark Primary.
- Glow was used for blogging, and storyboards were mind mapped and drafted to help create videos and animations.
- Alison from Magic Torch told tales of Anansi...
- Have a look at the graphic novel style of storytelling which is being used for some of the Tales from the Oak projects featuring Anansi
TALES OF THE OAK
Anansi features in both of our Commonwealth books, Spun Gold will appear in our Uncommon Tales comic, due out later this year and starring Sir Glen Douglas Rhodes and a host of international monsters... Until then, there's our Commonwealth Storytelling this weekend in Dutch Gable House...- The school was also involved in lots of other Commonwealth projects, even the food had a special theme!
- Commonwealth tales were told at the Dutch Gable House in Greenock during July. Citizen 2014 (part of Digital Commonwealth's community media response to the Commonwealth Games) reported on the free events.
