- European Committee of the Regions Members gathered in Brussels for the opening of the inaugural plenary session of the new mandate, where the new members were officially installed into office.
- The Plenary also served as an opportunity to see the new delegations to the CoR, who gathered for photos presenting new and old members alike.
12th February 2015 - A New President
- At 9am on the 12th of February former President Michel Lebrun warmly welcomed the appointment of new CoR President Markku Markkula (EPP) and 1st Vice President Karl-Heinz Lambertz (PES)
- The closing of the session gave way to messages of congratulations in the room and online as members and political groups showed their support for the new president and vice president.
