When Someone You Love is a Sex Worker - #cconsexworklove

CatalystCon Stacey Swimme Sunday, September 16, 2012 10:30am-11:40am

  1. This session is for sex workers, their partners, families and allies. We’ll use a roundtable format to discuss common issues sex workers and their loved ones are challenged with including: Isolation, shame, jealousy and fears related to criminalization and discrimination. One of the goals of the workshop is to help define the roles of partners, family and allies in helping to reform society’s negative attitudes toward sex workers.
  2. Stacey Swimme has worked in the sex industry for 14 years. She is co-founder and former Executive Director of the Desiree Alliance, co-founder of the Sex Workers Outreach Project USA.
