  1. If you get money for it, it’s your job. So why is this such a controversial claim when that job involves selling sexuality? Opponents of sex work and sex workers’ rights refuse to accept that sex work is legitimate work. Even in sex-positive communities, sex workers are sometimes understood mostly through their sexuality, not through their sexuality-as-labor. We’ll talk about the difference, about sex and money and identity, loving our jobs (and not loving our jobs), and confront the dirtiest four letter word: “work.”
