This year, viewers at home and on mobile had a chance to play TV producer, capturing, editing and sharing clips of their top debate moments live, while the debate is going on, via the new CNN Debate experience on the web and on the iPad tablet. The technology will be available for all four debates.

The debate continued to generate record-breaking interest on social media.
During one segment Romney said he would end federal subsidies to PBS, even though he liked PBS NewsHour executive producer Jim Lehrer, who was moderating the event. Romney also said he liked Big Bird.
The topics then turned to federal regulation of the economy, healthcare and the role of government and governing.
