Haunting images from North Fire in the Cajon Pass

A fire broke out and quickly spread to thousands of acres, damaging homes and prompting evacuations near the 15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass on Friday afternoon, a time when the freeway is usually backed up with weekenders heading to Vegas.
