  1. One of the 6 breakout sessions of the day was "Branding for Journalists with Robin Phillips. The workshop "explored ways you can grab the wheel and take control."

  2. The town hall-style session "The Anatomy of an Ethics Code Revision" allowed the audience to learn about the revision process and showcase the Society of Professional Journalists commitee's work in the form of the new proposed Code of Ethics

  3. "Change and Collaboration: Breaking down the Four Big Barriers" with Jill Geisler discussed how new technologies and skills are essential to every journalist's success.

  4. Knight Fellow Samaruddin Stewart shared some of the latest tools and technology including #hyperlapse in his session "Capturing Tomorrow: Emerging Trends in Photography." 

  5. Boyd Huppert led 2 workshops today. One of the was "Driving the Narrative Story: Steven Spielberg Figured it Out. Have You?"

  6. Nicholas Whitaker & LaToya Drake dissected "Advanced Google Search and Google Trends: What Journalists Should Know."

  7. The most anticipated morning breakout session of the day was probably the panel discussion on Ferguson
