6 Helpful Tips to Brighten Tired Skin

  1. After a hectic day at work, my skin always loses its freshness. After I get back home, all I want to do is to eat something, lie on my bed, watch some TV and then sleep. I wake up every single morning feeling exhausted even if sometimes I manage to get 7 hours of sleep.Moreover, there is a huge difference between feeling tired and visibly looking tired. Sometimes even makeup can’t seem to cover it up.

    So I stopped feeling sorry for myself and figured out what to do to save my skin. I tried out some home remedies which helped me look fresh. Here are some of my tried and tested tips
  2. 1. AloeVera gel

    As soon as you reach home, wash your face and apply aloe vera all over your face and neck. Wash off after 20 minutes. It will help you to look and feel fresh. Plus, it has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. Using Aloe Vera regularly keeps your skin clean,prevents oiliness and slows down aging.

    Ice treatment improves skin tone and removes dullness. Just wrap few ice cubes in a cloth and rub it in a circular motion for a few minutes. You can also place it on your eyes which will have a soothing effect. It helps to improve blood circulation in the face, decreases the size of your pores, prevents excess oil production, and reduce the redness of acne and pimples. Also, don’t use more than two ice cubes as using too many can worsen existing skin conditions.

    Exfoliation should be a part of your routine as it helps to brighten the skin. Scrub your face three times a week to remove dull, dead skin cells. It’ll make your skin supple and soft. Use a facial scrub that has skin brightening ingredients such as milk, papaya, and Vitamin C to rejuvenate your skin.

    It is possible to make your skin look bright and refreshed using blush. It is a fantastic product that makes your cheeks rosy, glowing and makes your look attractive. Also, it will give you a natural look and at times it won’t be noticeable that you have makeup on. There are different shades of blush available so choose one that matches your natural skin color.

    5. Lip care

    A dull looking face may also be due to chapped lips. Applying lipstick and gloss is just a temporary fix, and you cannot wear them all the time. Use salted butter on your lips before you go to bed to brighten them naturally.

    6. Fuller's Earth Face Scrub

    Blackheads are a serious problem and can kill your radiant glow. Fuller's earth face has antibacterial agents in it and will help to keep away the bacteria that cause blackheads. It also improves blood circulation, makes you glow and helps Fix Your Skin. Just mix 2 tablespoons of Fuller’s earth with rose water. Apply this on your face and scrub gently for 2-3 minutes. Wash off with cold water, pat dry and then moisturize. Scrub your face thrice a week with this to be free of blackheads.

I’m not going to bore you with the details but make sure you have vegetables, fruits and nuts daily and limit your caffeine intake to 2 cups a day. Also, drink plenty of water to prevent skin dryness.
