RBD Speaker Series: Grad Panel 2016

A select group of former Broadcasting - Radio Diploma and Certificate graduate students formed a discussion panel to answer questions from current Broadcasting - Radio students in NX 111 of Humber College's North Campus. The annual Grad Panel falls under the program's RBD Speaker Series umbrella.


  1. The Broadcasting - Radio Diploma Program Coordinator Sheila Walsh was the Facilitator of the Grad Panel Discussion.
  2. The Grad Panel was made up of 8 former students who have moved on to their careers in the broadcasting industry. They are:
  3. - Amanda Santos: Newscaster/Reporter for Country 105 Shelburne
  4. - George Tsilfidis: Show Producer for CFRB Newstalk 1010
  5. - Mark Carcasole: Reporter for Global News Toronto
  6. - Brent Gunning: Sports Editor for Sportsnet 590 The Fan
  7. - Leah Abrahams: Promotions Coordinator for The Move 93.5 & Street Team Coordinator for Boom 97.3
  8. - Nicole Rodgers: Former Promotions Coordinator for Boom 97.3
  9. - Phillip Hong: Show Producer for Humble & Fred Radio
  10. - Shemroy Parkinson: Swing Announcer/Producer for KISS 92.5
  11. Once introductions were over from each graduate, the hands started to rise. 12 questions in total were answered over the course of 2 hours.
