1. Our 70 delegates from sectors including primary, secondary, further education, higher education, local authorities, vitual school, charity services and support networks took their seats to hear from a fantastic line-up of speakers.
  2. The day began with a keynote speech delivered by Matthew Brazier from Ofsted. Matthew explained that many Looked After Children were being given inadequate support to aid their educational progression.
  3. The work needed to be done in this area was further emphasised by the care experienced student ambassador panel who were able to draw from their own experience to educate how we can move forward as practitioners.
  4. The following statements from the panel are particularity powerful in outlining how cross-sector collaboration and sustained support can offer vital access to new opportunities to young people with masses of potential.

  6. The students had some practical advice to overcome many of the problems they had faced across their educational journey.
