Triple gold winter weekend!

Three gold medals and one bronze were the highlights of the past weekend, but the excitement and impressive performances didn't stop at the end of the podium.


  1. The golden weekend started Friday afternoon when two-time Olympian Scotty James won gold in the men's SuperPipe at the X Games in Aspen.

  3. The gold continued for our Australian mogul skiers competing at the Calgary Mogul World Cup.
  4. World number one ranked Britt Cox won her third world cup title for the season.
  5. Matt Graham then added his own gold to the collection, winning the men's event.
  6. It was the first time in history that two Australians have both occupied the top spot on a Moguls World Cup podium, and other Australian athletes were quick to congratulate the pair.
  7. Slopestyle skier Russ Henshaw added a bronze medal to Australia's growing collection of hardware from the weekend.
  8. Phil Bellingham, Paul Kovacs and Callum Watson fought hard in classy fields in Sweden.
  9. Over in Pokljuka, Slovenia, siblings Damon and Darcie Morton produced season-best and Australian-best performances at the IBU Junior Cup 3.
  10. Damon Morton finished an extremely respectable 22nd out of 83 in the first sprint race.
  11. Damon and Darcie then joined forces for the single mixed relay where they produced Australian Biathlon’s best ever relay result on the world stage.
  12. The weekend's success say Damon qualifying for the Biathlon World Championships!
  13. Over in Germany, Daniel Greig placed 19th in the A Division 500m event at the ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Berlin, and 18th in his first A Division 1000m appearance.
