The People's Royal Wedding Album
The People's Royal Wedding Album is a group on Flickr created by Yahoo! UK that aims to capture the people’s take on the Royal Wedding. Celebrations down the pub, pets in royal regalia, camped on the Mall or a fantastic knitted souvenir, we want to capture it all. And if you're a resident of the UK there's a £5,000 prize for the best photo as judged by our Royal Expert Jennie Bond.
- We've created a People's Royal Wedding Album on @Flickr, add photos of what you're up to for the #RoyalWedding: bit.ly/PeoplesRWA
- First, there was MRS TWINS and her fantastic Royal Wedding Blanket, created with her friends from across the world.
- Then, there were cakes. Lots of cakes.
- And animals.
- Our friends at Mashable told everyone what we were doing, and our judge, the BBC's former Royal Wedding Correspondent Jennie Bond appeared on ITV's Daybreak to talk about it too.
- The entries started flooding in, with the Union Jack a unifying theme, popping up everywhere.
- The night before the wedding saw a flurry of photos of people on the Mall and outside Westminster.
- We're sure we'll see more entries today and over the weekend, so make sure you enter yourself and keep checking back: flickr.com/groups/peoplesroyalwedding
