  5. Rick Santorum suspending his campaign to be President of the 1950's.
  6. Several Twitter users remarked on Mr. Santorum's infamous sweater vest, which he mentioned during his speech Tuesday. “Amazing thing that sweater vest," Mr. Santorum said. "All of a sudden the Twitterverse went wild."

    And went wild it did:

  15. We posted the news of Mr. Santorum's withdrawal to The Wall Street Journal's Facebook page. The post drew more than 80 comments from readers. Here are some highlights:
  16. now is the time for all freedom-loving Americans to rally behind Romney. Never has there been a more important election in our lifetimes.
  17. That was an impressive effort topped off by knowing when it's time to get out. The Rs are better off in November for having Santorum run.
  18. The Republicans don't stand a chance, and I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. I'm not a fan of Obama, but Frothy was just hateful and insane. And Mitt has nothing in common with the average American. With the choices on the table, Obama is the lesser of all evils, unfortunately.
  19. He knew losing his home state for the 2nd time in his political career would be a bad precursor to taking on Hilary in 2016 after Barack takes down Mitt. Figured he'd done enough damage to Mitt already.
