As a youth myself and as his aide I have given. development intervention strategies that has youths as fore runners of projects. For example I led 50 youths to Sebore farms (Export Processing Zone) for 2 weeks. Agricultural Entrepreneurial workshop. AS MY RECOMMENDATION- On return I suggested that these youths are to be grouped into 3 (according to the senatorial districts). 3 Agricultural skills acquisition centers are to be established; Headed by these youths. Supervised by the Ministry of Agriculture they will train and transfer knowledge acquired to 20 youths in each Local Government area within their respective senatorial districts. with that in place, farmers and youths alike will be encouraged to form cooperatives/ groups for that will make it easier to transfer knowledge, distribute agricultural inputs like fertiliser and modified/improved seeds; The government has provided a billion Naira to be accessed as loans to youths. with such approach we hope a lot of our peers will be empowered to have jobs in the sense that they are running their own businesses. Integrated fish farming is an idea I have always promoted not only to boost food security but to elleviate poverty among youths and rural women.more2012-09-27T16:33:55.666Z

This limitation calls for the need for us to look inwards to harness our natural ((God given) talents and interests... We have to wake up to the reality that Jobs aren't there for all, but we need to look inwards to create jobs that will not only generate income but provide jobs for others.. The idea of. Jobs for youths should be about enterprenuership and self reliance than white-collar jobs.more2012-09-27T15:36:19.761Z
