#SheParty on Progressive Women's & Girls' Voices
On May 30, The Women's Media Center held its weekly twitter happy hour–#sheparty–at 3pm to discuss our Progressive Women's and Girls' Voices media training programs.
- Join us for #sheparty @ 3pm EST to discuss our PWV/PGV trainings with alums @feministteacher @fancynancynyc @vibedana @ShelbyKnox @sallykohn
- Several PWV alumnae were kind enough to join #sheparty and tell us about their experiences.
- Feminist activist and PWV alum Shelby Knox offered to answer any questions tweeps had about the program, as did director and producer Nancy Schwartzman and feminist teacher Ileana Jiménez.
- Hi #SheParty! Happy to answer ?'s about how @womensmediacntr #PWV works & benefits of applying. Which you can do here: bit.ly/zVjphq
- What's the benefit of #PWV? (we asked).
- @womensmediacntr The #pwv media training catapulted me from zero to ten. There would be no @feministteacher blog, radio spots, etc #sheparty
- Shepartiers discussed their feelings about PWV and asked some questions.
- @ShelbyKnox #sheparty I so understand your statement...I'm ALWAYS told I don't have the credentials even though my experience is evident
- Would like to know more about how PWV helps you to pitch yourself or "own your expertise" as @ShelbyKnox said #sheparty
- Some of our alums weighed in on these questions.
- Female #documentary filmmakers who want to craft the media story abt ur issue - apply to #PWV cc: @workingfilms @fledglingfund #sheparty
- Feminist comedian and PWV alum Katie Halper had good things to say about the program.
- What are some other benefits of the program? Ileana Jiménez and WMC's VP of Programs Jamia Wilson helped explain the networking value of #PWV trainings.
- How did you use your #PWV skills after the training?
