Watching the Super Bowl on the web
This year, NBC and the NFL embraced the web-only audience. How did it go?
- For the first time, NBC decided to blow out its online Super Bowl coverage with a free live stream of the game.
- For a live stream of #SB46, 4 extra cameras, SB commercials on-demand, & @jimmyfallon's live tweets click HERE: bit.ly/xjPiOd
- ¿Cuantos de ustedes están viendo el #SuperBowl #sb46 #SuperTazon por un #stream? ¿Que les parece? @vivelohoy yfrog.com/nx1m9op
- People were psyched.
Pretty sweet to be able to stream #SB46 on the iPad to the Apple TV. Thanks Steve. #SuperBowl46 http://pic.twitter.com/HkvrJkEb- OK, the Live Stream of the #SuperBowl is pretty cool. Nice to be able to switch between multiple cameras. Well done. #SB46
- And willing to troubleshoot glitches.
- The @nbcsports #sb46 online stream is choppy and blurry, but that's because of @TWCable_NYC turtle-slow internet speedtest.net/result/1754536…
- Some noted the options and the extras, which included different ads and pre-selected Twitter feeds.
- Oh wait. Different ads. Especially for those on Twitter, it became impossible not to realize that the web watchers were missing out on some of the experience.
- The @NBC #sb46 web stream: because they think you'd rather watch @rainnwilson on repeat instead of the actual content. #moronsincharge
- ... especially THAT experience.
- (For some, that was a plus.)
- By the end, disenchantment was the word ... and not just for Pats fans.
