- If you're joining us for #OZPBLCHAT and this is your first ever twitter chat ... a few tips. I've got four discussion questions (cont.)
- ... I'll introduce them like this Q1: (blah, blah). If you have something to say in response add your answer as A1: (blah, blah) #OZPBLCHAT
- Oh, and always make sure you add the hashtag #OZPBLCHAT to your tweets so ppl can find it and reply/retweet/favourite etc ... let's GO!
- A1: student focused, collaborative, authentic, problem solving, critical thinking, solution focused, real. #OZPBLCHAT
- @BiancaH80 A1: PBL is Student Centered, but is EMANCIPATORY for teachers. :P #OZPBLCHAT
- @BiancaH80 hi! A 1: PBL uses a driving question and allows students to create a final product. That's like beginning & end :-) #OZPBLCHAT
- #ozpblchat A1: that I feel I do 'bits' of it, and have done for years. Not sure what makes me still feel out of it.
- @danpugliese what is it that you do that makes you think you might be doing it already? #OZPBLCHAT
- A1: I might be wrong, but doesn't PBL involve students producing something (a product) from a question that they want to answer? #ozpblchat
- #OZPBLCHAT A1. Ditto what's said #OZPBLCHAT also what I know I learnt from @BiancaH80 and reading from there , also . #BIE
- @BiancaH80 A1 I assume we're talking about learning being driven by the desire to real life problems/achieve a useful goal? #OZPBLCHAT
- PBL requires full on teacher involvement. It's not a 'let them run with it' affair. #OZPBLCHAT
- I want to know how to start PBL successfully with students and how to be fully involved while allowing students to take control #ozpblchat
- @junith81 @biancah80 as a HT I'm curious how the planning occurs for something that seems so student focused. #OZPBLCHAT
- @BiancaH80 #ozpblchat I think what others r saying about planning & giving students tools/skills to achieve. Just like any good teaching.
- @cristalbeam PBL begins in tiny steps ... students need to unlearn school and learn new skills. Start small! #OZPBLCHAT
- @malynmawby Agreeing with this. PBL = NOT just an end point Project, it is a process of negotiated, collaborative learning. #ozpblchat
- PBL is different from projects because the students get the 'project' from the outset ... they shape their learning. #OZPBLCHAT
