Day Two: Duncan visits Iowa
Secretary Arne Duncan is visiting WI and IA, April 18-19, to discuss college affordability, elevating the teaching profession, fostering community partnerships in ed, as well as training & retraining youth & adult students to enter the workforce through effective career & technical ed programs.
- Duncan started the second day of his visit to the Midwest at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa, for a White House Rural Council roundtable with Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, Executive Director for the Office of Recovery for Auto Communities and Workers at the Department of Labor, Jay Williams, as well as students, faculty and business leaders.
