By Elections in Burma: 2012

Burma will hold by-elections on April 1. There are 48 seats available (voting in 3 Kachin constituency now cancelled). This represents about 7% of the seats in the national assembly. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the NLD, and other democratic political parties are contesting in these elections.
