  2. Ride the bus? Remember, on Monday, Aug. 1 AC Transit fares increase


    If you're a biker, the Walnut Creek City Council is looking for your feedback on its Master Bicycle Plan, Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 7 PM. The City Hall is located at 1666 N. Main Street in Walnut Creek. See you there!


    If you have to drive, remember through Tuesday, Aug. 9 between 7 am and 6 pm there is road resurfacing throughout Contra Costa County.


    On Thursday, Aug. 18applications are due for County Connection paratransit vans. If you know a community based organization that serves the elderly and disabled populations in Central Contra Costa County, make sure to let them know about the deadline. Thursday night, be sure to check out Danville Hot Summer Nights Hot Rod and Classic Car Show!


    Oakland's Walking Tours are free, and a great way to learn more about the city's architecture. They're every Wednesday and Saturday at 10 AM, through October.
