History according to Stephen Harper
Prime Minister Stephen Harper plays the 'Hitler card' in the House of Commons in response to a question from NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair.

Stephen Harper accused the NDP leader in 1939 -- the party did not yet exist -- of not supporting the decision to get the Canadian military involved during the Second World War.
The comment, said during the House of Commons on April 26, was quickly shouted down. Harper responded: "CCF, NDP, same difference."
Harper was responding to NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair's question about whether the Conservatives will keep the country's troops in Afghanistan past 2014. "Yes or no?" he asked.The exact answer? “In 1939, the NDP leader didn’t even want to support the fight against Hitler."
