The incomparable Home Page Editor (that’s not only a big title of great importance, she also drives a mean locomotive, I’m told) unearthed five of the more popular missives from over the years and the similarities are striking.No, it’s not Jose-TJ or Sam getting fired or Jay getting fired or some sitcom list or some esoteric pop culture thing, it’s deals made and unmade that draw the most attention.

In a complex transaction that’s still not finalized, the Raptors are shipping out Hedo Turkoglu, Jose Calderon and one other piece not yet confirmed and getting back Leandro Barbosa of the Phoenix Suns, Boris Diaw and possibly Tyson Chandler from the Charlotte Bobcats.

The part of a complex Raptors deal that would have sent Jose Calderon and Reggie Evans to Charlotte is dead, killed by Bobcats owner Michael Jordan, according to league sources.The teams had signed off on the transaction that would have shipped Boris Diaw and Tyson Chandler to Toronto early Monday afternoon – with Chandler being told he was to become a Raptor – before it died later in the day. The other part of the transaction – Hedo Turkoglu from Toronto to Phoenix for Leandro Barbosa – is still a go and could be finished as early as today.
