Inside and up in the air
Globe and Mail transportation reporter Brent Jang is among the first in Canada to fly aboard the light-weight, efficient plane
- Early this Sunday morning, Brent boarded the Dreamliner for The Globe's first flight. Looks like he had a good seat.
- Brent had to turn his smartphone off for the take-off from Toronto, and this demonstration model isn't equipped with in-flight internet access. But he continued the updates during the one-hour flight, which he's been sending since landing in Boston.
- Back on the ground, the tour of the plane isn't over.
- On Friday, Air Canada invited the media to a 75th anniversary event at Toronto's Lester B. Pearson International Airport. There, they got their first glimpse of the 787 Dreamliner, seen here upon landing Thursday afternoon. Click here to see a video of the landing shot by Boeing.
