WebFWD Summit II
The Mozilla WebFWD team welcomed our startups into town for the 2nd Summit: a time of hands-on hacking, learning and bonding. The goal: move the dial so our teams can change the world. Now!
- #WebFWD teams - welcome to Mozilla Mtn View - @BigBlueButton @buddycloud @CASHMusic @EntropyWave @OpenPhoto @tomahawk @Synbiota #iHeartCode
- We started with a day of hands-on work sessions to jump start marketing, UX, tech development and of course, business models!
- UX sessions from Jennifer Boriss and Brian Dils were especially poignant: our teams' websites went under the "digital knife" - on the overhead, they provided intense questioning and probing on function and purpose. Really good stuff.
- The next day we gathered developers, marketers & more both locally and around the world via IRC and Air Mozilla to contribute to our portfolio's projects.

- of course, pizza was involved...
- ....which may or may not have fueled the Synbiota team -- they're pretty incessant!
Of course, there was the food too.... - This was NOT ordered by anyone in #WebFWD (Baby Back Ribs @ Clarke's Charcoal Broiler) bit.ly/K8i67h
- Which is why we HAD to escape to Alcatraz..well...almost: an Alcatraz View from the Moz SF office....

- Then we forced our teams to pitch. In front of the entire Mozilla Community! 30 seconds each...problem/solution BAM!
- Incredibly between it all our teams got to squeeze in times with some of our mentors.
