What made SU special for you?
We asked alumni about their favorite moments from being a student at Syracuse University. Alumni remember their time at SU, reflecting on the moments, places and people that made their college experience special.
- Alumni remember the rich academic environment at SU:
- I loved that Cuse had so many different schools within the university: VPA, Newhouse, Maxwell, Whitman, Architecture, Information Studies, etc. When you have such specialized schools you get world renowned programs and teachers. You also get a student body that goes to college knowing what they want to do and being extremely passionate about it. Unlike most general liberal arts colleges, many of us had to decide what school we wanted to be in before we even got to cuse. So I felt very lucky to be surrounded by so many incredibly intelligent, driven people at Syracuse who I believe will be leaders in their fields.
- @SyracuseU ...and several amazing classes and professors who completely changed the way that I look at the world.#GoOrange
- Alumni even shared stories of meeting their true love at SU:
- Our alumni were involved in a wide rage of campus clubs and activities:
- My time at SU was made special by the opportunities I had to interact and be a part of the campus community. I had the opportunity to be a member of the SU Marching Band as well as the Cheerleading and Mascot Teams. I got to travel all over the country and meet some awesome people...I truly miss being a part of that and hope to come back to SU very soon!

- Great Business School experience; being a part of the charter line of Kappa Lamda Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority; study abroad at SU in Amsterdam - an amazing experience living abroad with my Dutch family; meeting my husband Rufus Jones celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary this year and of course the many friends and memories that I still treasure today!

The other best memory was watching my daughter go through 4 years on the Hill and reliving my experiences I had at SU. It was incredible watching my daughter graduate this past May.more2012-09-04T12:37:39.908Z
